Neapco’s management team bring decades of experience to the company and were the group that negotiated the management buyout of Neapco in 2008 with the backing of the Wanxiang Group.

Robert W. Hawkey
President and CEO, Neapco Holdings, LLC

Bob Hawkey is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Neapco Holdings, a global leader through its operating subsidiaries in driveline systems and components. He is charged with guiding a dedicated and talented executive staff, supported by experienced management teams and a committed workforce for this tier one parts supplier to major automakers in North America, Europe and Asia.

Bob assumed his position when brought in by the Carlyle Group at the time of their acquisition of Neapco and five sister companies to form United Components, Inc. in 2003. He led the management buyout of Neapco in 2006 with the backing of the Wanxiang Group. In 2008, Neapco acquired the Ford / ACH driveshaft manufacturing business and established Neapco Drivelines in Michigan complementing the company’s existing operations in Pennsylvania, Nebraska and Mexico. In 2010, Neapco completed the acquisition of the former Visteon / Tedrive operations in Dueren, Germany and Praszka, Poland to form Neapco Europe. 

Bob has almost 40 years of general management experience in leading the design, manufacture, sales and marketing of highly engineered products for the transportation, capital equipment, aerospace and defense industries. Prior to joining Neapco, Bob spent 12 years as President and CEO of a global manufacturer of electronic and electrical controls for aerospace and defense. 

Bob has a degree in Economics from Villanova University and has pursued graduate studies at Rutgers Law School, Pepperdine and Columbia School of Business. He has served as a board member of several privately held companies and community organizations.

J. Robert Mangini
Chief Operating Officer (COO), Neapco Holdings, LLC

Bob Mangini has over 40 years experience in manufacturing operations, including quality, manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, productivity, capacity expansion, new product introduction and lean manufacturing.

Bob joined Neapco in 1996 as head of manufacturing and distribution after spending twenty years with Mack Truck where he was the Engine Division Manager in Hagerstown, Maryland. In January 2008, Bob relocated from Pennsylvania to Michigan to become Executive Vice President and General Manager of Neapco Drivelines.

He attended Wagner College on a baseball scholarship and has taken additional professional courses at the University of Maryland.

John C. Lion
Senior VP of Finance and Administration, Neapco Holdings, LLC

John Lion is the Senior Financial Officer for Neapco Holdings, LLC and has held various positions in the finance area in his 32 years of experience with Neapco. He also worked for a Public Accounting Firm for a number of years prior to his employment at Neapco. He was hired in 1977 when UIS purchased Neapco from the Berwind Corporation.

John’s responsibilities include finance, information technology and human resources. In 2003, he was part of the team that helped facilitate the sale of Neapco from UIS to the Carlyle Group, and in 2006 was also part of the management team that helped with the buyout of Neapco with the backing of the Wanxiang Group. In 2008, Neapco acquired the Ford / ACH driveshaft manufacturing business and established Neapco Drivelines in Michigan complementing the company’s existing operations in Pennsylvania, Nebraska and Mexico.  In 2010 Neapco completed the acquisition of the former Visteon / Tedrive operations in Dueren, Germany and Praszka, Poland to form Neapco Europe.

John has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from West Chester University. John also attended Villanova University prior to his graduation from West Chester University. He is a Navy veteran and saw action in the Vietnam War.

Keith E. Sanford
President, Neapco Components, LLC

Keith Sanford is President of Neapco Components, a subsidiary of Neapco Holdings which has locations in Pennsylvania, Nebraska and Mexico with distribution centers in California and Canada. Keith has over 37 years of professional experience in engineering, materials, manufacturing and administrative management in both the metalworking and electronics industries. Since joining Neapco in 1994, Keith has held various positions in senior management that includes sales, manufacturing, engineering and administration.

Keith was part of the executive management team that helped facilitate the sale of Neapco from UIS to the Carlyle Group in 2003, and the team that acquired Neapco with the backing of the Wanxiang Group in 2006. In 2008, he was a member of the management team that completed the acquisition of the Ford / ACH driveshaft manufacturing business that is now located in Belleville, Michigan

Prior to joining Neapco, Keith was President and Chief Executive Officer of a tool, die and metal stamping company located in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Vice President, Operations of an electronic and circuit board manufacturing company located in Philadelphia. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Drexel University and also holds a Professional Engineers License. He also has served as a board member of privately held companies.
