Job Description:

 

  • Release and maintain production jobs in the MRP system.
  • Review and analyze “MRP” for work orders and purchase requisitions.
  • Review and analyze all purchase orders before final closing.
  • Assist Manufacturing/Engineering in material activities related to process improvement.
  • Collect and report data for monthly reports.
  • Process all required reports.
  • Coordinate outside service orders and inventory.
  • Purchase assigned items.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required by the position.
  • Communicate schedules and forecasts to suppliers and vendors.
  • Work extra hours (overtime) to maintain production needs.

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Position requires good math, phone and computer skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with good buying, planning, scheduling and problem-solving skills and willing to accept responsibility.
  • Requires the ability to work independently, the ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions.
  • Requires effective interaction with company personnel, including supervisors and managers.
  • Requires good negotiation and follow up skills with vendors and suppliers. Requires MRP experience.

 

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required
  • Bachelors Degree in related field preferred
  • APICS certification preferred
  • A minimum of two years production and inventory experience.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to lift 40 pounds from the floor frequently throughout the shift.
