Job Description:

  • Provide leadership, direction and mentoring on supplier issues and opportunities.
  • Understand industry, process, technology and supplier trends.
  • Work with and develop supplier system capabilities and improvement opportunities as well as cost drivers.
  • Assist the Planning, Production, Quality and Inventory personnel in metrics, process improvement, and best practices.
  • Work with and develop suppliers to improve quality, service, price and technology.
  • Analyze supplier quotes, recommend target price and assist with sourcing recommendations on new and existing suppliers.
  • Communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Some travel required.

Preferred Skills:

  • MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Knowledge of assembly, fabricating and component manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent analytical, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with individuals in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of financial, accounting and purchasing activities.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement principles.

Education: Bachelor's Degree
